The first Sunday in October is the yearly "Run for the Cure" event. Yellowknife is a very generous community often topping the 100,000 and beyond mark. This was the year I walked for three friends: Lorraine, Elaine and Brenda, who all passed away in a 10 month span. I miss them all. |
