Astrid Kruse
Ceramic Artist
One of the NWT's foremost ceramic artists, Astrid has never been bound by the limits of her potter's wheel. Open minded and always ready to experiment, she has used her passion for clay to encompass sculpture, design, and raku firing. She has exhibited in the "Earthworks" exhibition at Expo 2000 in Germany and the Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art in Toronto. She and Cathie Harper recently had a joint show using clay and fibre at Birchwood Gallery (Yellowknife), sponsered in part by the NWT Arts Council. Astrid offers private pottery classes in her studio, Sunspot Studio.
